What is Faith? Hebrews 1:11 (MSG)

”The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.”

When a believer walks by faith, their spirit proclaims the outcome right in the middle of adversity. Their faith causes them to stand up in the face of the giant (opposition, challenge, impossibility) and announces how it will turn out. Faith sees the situation and difficulty, but it knows it isn’t over yet. Faith tells you the outcome before the outcome arrives: it’s going to turn out with me being the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. It’s going to turn out with me being blessed coming in and blessed going out, blessed so I will bless others. Why?

Because this is what Jesus did for me. It is my inheritance and my legal right and privilege. It is my genetic makeup as the Holy Spirit killed the old me and I am new in Christ. Faith is now part of me. He has made me a champion, an heir of God and co-heir with Christ Jesus. I am royalty and rule and reign with Christ. I am seated far above all principalities and rulers of darkness and I have authority as a believer by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.
